Side by Side was created to meet the needs of children with special needs and learning difficulties in Beijing. We work with individuals aged from pre-school to adult, as well as small groups, families, schools and community groups. At Side by Side, we provide professional services at a personal level. Side by Side provides growth opportunities for children with special needs and learning difficulties, their families and their networks through individually designed academic, support, and therapy programmes, vocational training, advocacy, education and awareness. Side by Side staff are passionate about China, and passionate about working with people who have special needs or learning difficulties.

All team members are at least bilingual, and have formal qualifications and at least four years experience in their area or areas of specialty. They have experience working in an international environment, a love for educating others about their specialty, and a passion for highlighting the potential in their clients, to help them be the best that they can be. All team members commit to at least two years. Our aim at Side by Side is to work with children and their support groups. We work with teachers, speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, psychologists and other professionals, as well as family members, schools or carers, to help your child be the best that he or she can be. We strongly believe that it takes more than one person to bring out a child’s potential, it takes a team.
