A Great Summer for Daisy

This summer Daisy prepared a lot of different dishes she never had tried before. Our goal was for Daisy to try many different foods, including ones she had picked from Side by Side’s garden. She tried many different fruits and vegetables, and learnt how to prepare salad, rice and pasta dishes. In the beginning it was really difficult for Daisy to try new foods, but after a few weeks it became much easier and she found a few healthy dishes she really likes.

In music therapy Daisy planned a drum dance. She had to draw different ideas for drum movements on the blackboard and then give Philipp instructions about how he could participate in her drum dance. This exercise is good for practicing organisational skills, communication skills, and the ability to motivate others.

On Daisy’s last day at Side by Side she ate a big plate full of spaghetti with pesto and pasta with cheese sauce. She also had a salad. As a reward she was allowed to go to the zoo at Capital Paradise to feed the animals.
